What is the origin of your own surname? – if one exists, we will trace it and describe it for you.
- Have any generic or specific arms been granted to anyone with your surname? If so, we will describe them for you.
- We will provide you with either a flash drive or a CD containing details of all of our research on your ancestors, even where there
are negative results. It will also include copies of original certificates, copies of register entries, copies of census returns and can if you wish, include copies of your own family photographs in
order to improve the narrative.
- Your flash drive or CD will have sufficient space for additional information to be added.
- A chart describing your direct ancestry pedigree.
- Usually gleaned from census returns, we will provide you with a list of your ancestors’ occupations as well as addresses of where
they lived. On rare occasions some of those properties may still exist and, if possible, we will provide you with an image.
- Due to bomb damage during World War I, many early 20th century military records were destroyed. A significant number
however did survive. In many cases these do allow us to provide you with additional military information of where your ancestors served in the armed forces.
- For those who either already possess genealogy software or wish to have their ancestors’ information in a format that will allow them
to store it on a computer, we can provide you with a GEDCOM file, which can be imported into almost any genealogical program.
What Information Do We Need?
To get started we need as much information as you can give us working back from your own or your
children’s generation. We can offer guidance but below you will find two examples of charts, which you can download and complete.
